Youth Work

In Kuhmo, general youth work consists of activities for both younger children and young people. Youth work is part of the Growth and Learning Services.

Our activities mainly take place on weekday evenings and during school holidays.

Our aim is to provide meaningful leisure activities for young people in Kuhmo.

Together with our partners, we work to improve the living conditions of young people in Kuhmo and create opportunities for youth participation and civic activities in Kuhmo and the Kainuu region.

During the spring and autumn terms, Youth Services organise open activities, afternoon clubs, events, excursions and themed evenings at Yläkerta Youth Centre.

Activities at the youth centre are mainly free of charge. Camps and excursions may require a participation fee.
