Employment Services

The City of Kuhmo’s Employment Services provide support during unemployment, as well as advice and guidance on job seeking, training and skills development, and strengthening your ability to work. We also provide services for businesses and employers, including support with recruitment and staff training needs.

Using Kuhmo Employment Services

The official and primary channel for both individual and business customers to contact the employment authority is the Job Market Finland online service. You can also visit the Employment Services desk at Kuhmo Town Hall in person.

Online Services

Through the Job Market Finland online service, you can register as a jobseeker, report progress on your employment plan and changes in your job search, and apply for labour market training.

In the services for businesses, employers and entrepreneurs can, for example, publish job vacancies, search for suitable candidates and communicate with employment authorities.

Signing in to Job Market Finland requires strong electronic identification.

The City of Kuhmo is Part of the Kainuu-Koillismaa Employment Area

Employment promotion has been a dedicated service area within the City of Kuhmo since 2016. It provides statutory employment and business services for jobseekers and businesses in Kuhmo.

The services aim to support customers in maintaining and improving their ability to work and function, while also helping ensure that businesses in Kuhmo have access to the workforce they need.
