Studies
New students are admitted to Kuhmo Music Institute in the order of registration. However, children and young people are given priority when available student places are allocated. The Music Institute does not require entrance or aptitude tests.
At Kuhmo Music Institute, every student takes part in an ensemble or music group. Studying music helps develop concentration skills and provides rewarding experiences and a sense of achievement.
Kuhmo Music Institute offers the advanced syllabus in music and the general syllabus in dance. Studies progress step by step from one level to the next.
Music Theory and Perception
- Music theory and perception studies are part of the curriculum for all music students.
- Students learn singing, music reading and writing skills, and gain an understanding of different musical styles.
