Loan Periods and Fees

General loan period: 4 weeks

Magazines, console games, films with reservations, and video recordings: 2 weeks

Short-term loans and items: 1 week

Short-term loans and items cannot be reserved or renewed.

Borrowing Suspension

Fees exceeding €15 automatically result in a suspension of borrowing privileges. Borrowing privileges are restored once the outstanding fees have been paid.

Common Fees at Kainet Libraries

Uncollected reservation: €3.00

First reminder: €3.00, sent one week after the due date

Second reminder: €3.00, sent three weeks after the due date

Library card: €0 for new customers; replacement for a lost card €3.00

Overdue fee: €0.20 per day

No overdue fees are charged for children’s materials. However, reminder fees are always charged.

Fees at Kuhmo Main Library

Interlibrary loan ordered from another library in Finland: €10.00

Interlibrary loan sent to another library in Finland: €15.00

Copies and Printouts

A4: €0.40 per page

A3: €0.40 per page

Printing on transparency film: €0.50 per page

Scanning is free of charge.

Other Fees

Prices for withdrawn library materials vary depending on the type and condition of the material.

Rental of library premises for commercial purposes: €20.00 per hour
