Kuhmo Library

Kuhmo Library Atalante is located on the banks of the Pajakkakoski Rapids at Pajakkakatu 2.

The library building, designed by the Helsinki-based architectural firm Nurmela–Raimoranta–Tasa, was opened in 1988. Its name, Atalante, comes from Jean Vigo’s film of the same name. In Kuhmo, the building symbolises a ship bringing knowledge, culture and ideas from around the world.

For enquiries, please contact the library by phone at +358 44 725 5390.

Library users can view their loans, place reservations and manage their library account through the Kainet Finna online library service.
