Remote Workspaces
The City of Kuhmo offers a variety of well-equipped spaces for different needs, whether you are looking for a place for remote work, meetings, celebrations or sports.
Kuhmo City Hall has two free remote workstations equipped with adjustable desks and separated by a privacy screen. The remote workspace also includes a casual lounge area with beanbags for brainstorming and more relaxed working. Remote workers also have access to a coffee machine and the City Hall guest café.
Kuhmo City Library also has two classrooms that can be reserved for remote work. The rooms are available on weekdays and offer free Wi-Fi. Reservations for the library’s remote workspaces can be made directly through the library.
Iivantiira Village House Remote Workspace
If you prefer working in the peaceful countryside, a remote workspace is available at Iivantiira Village House (Kekkostie 4264, 88760 Iivantiira).
The workspace is equipped with an adjustable electric desk, an internet connection provided by the village association and a multifunction printer.
Reservations are managed by the Iivantiira Village Association.

Vesantalo Remote Workspace
The remote workspace at Vesantalo in Ylä-Vieksi is located at Hyrynsalmentie 1520.
The workspace is equipped with a fibre-optic internet connection, an adjustable electric desk, adjustable office chairs, an additional monitor and a multifunction printer and scanner.
Reservations can be made through Eine Kotamaa, Chair of the Village Association.

Meeting Rooms
The City of Kuhmo has several meeting rooms suitable for meetings and events of different sizes:
- Joki – City Board Meeting Room (16 people, 57 m²)
- Koski – City Council Chamber (50 people, 103 m²)
- Puro – Meeting Room (15 people, 33 m²)
You can also book Kuhmo Taitotehdas (Kainuuntie 85) for evening use. Reservations can be made through the City of Kuhmo online store.

For larger events, Kuhmo Arts Centre offers excellent facilities for events such as seminars and conferences.
Event and Leisure Venues
Kelo
The City of Kuhmo rents Kelo (Väinämöinen 4) for celebrations and events. The venue is suitable for larger events. Kelo can be booked using the online booking form.
Väinölä
Väinölä House, located in Kalevalankangas, is available for private events and celebrations. The venue can accommodate approximately 60 people. Väinölä can be booked using the online booking form. Väinölä cannot be booked between 10 December 2025 and 30 April 2026.
Kuhmo Arts Centre
Kuhmo Arts Centre is also available as an event venue and provides an atmospheric setting for concerts, celebrations and cultural events. Facilities can be booked through the Kuhmo Arts Centre website.
Koskitupa
Koskitupa is a traditional Finnish campfire hut located by the shore at Ikola Vicarage. It can accommodate 8–10 people and can be booked free of charge through the City of Kuhmo online store.
Kide Stage
Kide Stage, located in Kuhmo Market Square, is a wooden performance stage that won the Popular Choice Award in the Architizer A+Awards. The stage can be booked free of charge through the City of Kuhmo online store.
Sports Halls
Sports halls at Kuhmo’s schools and sports facilities are available for hire. They are suitable for both sports club training sessions and private exercise sessions. Regular bookings can be made by submitting an indoor sports facility application. Individual sessions can be booked through the City of Kuhmo online store.
