Where to Stay

There are two hotels in the vicinity of Kuhmo town centre. Hotel Kainuu is situated in the very centre of the town, and Hotel Kalevala about four kilometres out. There are also two guest houses, Matkakoti Kieppi and Matkustajakoti Uljaska. Moreover, Hyvinvointi Sampo, located three kilometres from the centre, also offers hotel-like accommodation.

These five accommodation businesses in Kuhmo have a total of 240 beds. The number of beds in hotels, guest houses and other forms of accommodation is not sufficient to meet the demands during the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival. This is why availability of private accommodation is very important during the festival time.

Various accommodation services are also available outside the town. The holiday village Lentiiran Lomakylä is situated 45 kilometres north of Kuhmo’s centre. Tulijärven Tuvat has cottages for hire 10 kilometres from the centre.

The Lentuankoski Camping Site is located 15 kilometres from the centre. The camping site has areas for tents, caravans and camper vans.

Myllyniemi Caravan offers self-service parking pitches for caravans and camper vans.

Lentuvat is a countryside holiday resort 30 km from Kuhmo’s centre, renting out cottages.
