Christmas

According to the Huygen’s book (Books on gnomes, illustrated by Rien Poortvliet) the gnomes,elves, became to Kuhmo, Lentiira, hundres of years ago. So Kuhmo is the city of small elves (elf is tonttu in finnish) .

In December there are a lot of Christmas events in Kuhmo: music concerts, bazaars, Christmas opening evening. The Kuhmo city is beautiful in Christmas time. Dozens of real Christmas trees are decorated with Christmas lights.
